Distant Lightning

Day 73

Curious dream this morning. Not as easy to interpret as usual. Plus an interesting follow up.

The Dream

Started with seeing a ball or small hand sized object on the grass which I needed to rescue from large dark birds that were approaching, like crows or currawongs. I put a cloth over me and lay down to hide from the birds and edged closer to the object. One bird came really close so I started making scary noises to frighten it but it only looked curious and didn’t flinch.

Second part of the dream: I drove to a large, single storey country homestead. Inside were many dogs. Mostly boxer dogs, I think, lounging around on the furniture and crowding the floor. The man asked if I was here to help feed them and I said yes. He showed me how he gave them a hunk of animal – like bone, meat and dried hide all in one – about 6 inches square. He finished the job himself.

I went outside and found lots of people having a gathering, like an easy going party. They were spread around the grass standing, all seemingly happy. A few men were behaving strangely, like they were high, dancing and staggering to unheard music, stepping into a lake and wetting their jeans without noticing. No one minded.

Then I saw huge, unending lightning storm just over the nearby mountains. Some of it was fork lightning reaching down to ground I could not see. Some was pieces of lightning, like tracer lights in bullets pelting down to the ground. I felt we should all seek shelter but the house was full of dogs and there was no where for the people to go. They seemed unperturbed.

I saw a baby someone had left unattended in a high chair facing out towards the ocean. I thought this was at least one person I could save but there seemed to be no feeling of anxiety to get it done from anyone around me. All were oblivious to the lightning except me.

Dream Interpretation

• First and second parts are both me trying to save things/people that don’t share my sense of urgency.
• Dogs inside and people outside = opposite priorities to my own
• Me being ineffective in trying to be scary.
• Men behaving strangely without self consciousness and no one caring.
• Dangerous lightning storm which hits in the distance but comes no closer to me.
• People around me not feeling the same empathy or danger for those in the distance.
• Baby facing the ocean? Was he posted as a lookout because they think we don’t need anything more than that?
• Bones/dried meat and hide given to the dogs but no food for the people? Don’t get this bit.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

A terrible reckoning is due.
A wrong will be righted — and even if it has been you who has been wronged, you will tremble at the terrible power of Justice untempered by Mercy.
Pray for your oppressor, that his punishment will fit his crime.

CHANGING LINES – The upper line prevails

Hexagram Twenty-One/Line Five:

Biting into dried meat and striking the golden arrowhead.
Keeping to this perilous course will result in unexpected reward.

Hexagram Twenty-One/Line Two:

A bite so deep into the meat that his nose disappears.
Harsh, but no mistake.

So it does sound as though it’s not up to me to do the saving right now. I need to simply observe the changes and save myself. I am safe.

There is much to be said for keeping yourself separate from all the terrible traumatic things you see on the Broadcast News currently. War, Ebola, Earthquakes and Volcanos. Yes, they are in the distance. Yes, they affect other humans but we are all One so it I feel it all the same. But, it is imperative for me to keep my own spirits up rather than add my focus to their drama if the storm is not actually in my own back yard.

Seeing hope for peace and goodwill in the future puts out a much better vibe and benefits those affected in a more positive way via Law of Attraction.

The Empaths of the world certainly have a challenge ahead of themselves to do this as we pass through the last few years/decades of nastiness.
